Caring for your wig

Store in a wig bag or on a wig stand when not in use. Use a wig comb or brush to gently detangle. Start from the bottom and work your way up using small sections. Only use cleansing and styling products designed for wigs. Only detangle or style when wig is completely dry. The wig’s lifespan may be decreased the more you style and apply products. Heat resistant wigs – heat may be applied up to 350° F starting at a lower setting and increase as needed. Avoid heat if possible.

Putting your wig on Remove glasses before putting on your wig. Secure hair and apply a wig cap/grip as needed. Put the wig on by sliding from front to back. Wig should be near your natural hairline. Use the tabs or wig construction to adjust, do not pull on hair. Apply combs and use adjustable bands as needed.

Washing your wig Gently detangle before washing. Add a small amount of shampoo into a basin of cool water. Swish the wig in the water. Soak for 5-10 minutes. Rinse in cool water until the shampoo is out of the wig. Gently apply wig conditioner and leave for 2 minutes. Rinse in cool water until the conditioner is out of the wig. Gently pat excess water with a towel without ringing the wig. Allow to dry on a towel or wig stand. Allow wig to completely dry before brushing or combing.
